Rehabilitation

If you are suffering pain or loss of full range of motion, then it’s time to get the problem fixed and fast. You are rapidly losing strength, movement and its effecting everyday tasks. Eventually your frustration grows to despair and you begin to feel down. This is all perfectly normal, but it’s not something I can bear to watch anyone suffer.

Treatment plans are made to suit each person individually dependant on the injury, their ability, their pain, their lifestyle and what they are likely participate in. But crucially it is about getting you out of pain and helping you get back to your old, perhaps more improved, self.

Having worked in the EICA:Ratho for 10 years +, married a climber, published a paper with Climb Scotland, dabbled a little in climbing myself and now watch my son enjoy the occasional climbing session, its become inevitable that I have become tot "go to" person for climbing injuries, after all I do see them on a daily basis. Prevention is, of course, better than cure, however, if you do find yourself in pain that is either caused by your climbing, or aggravated by your climbing, let me know as soon as you can so we can rectify and get you back on that wall.
